Today, dear brides, we'd like to share an enticing proposal with you – hosting an intimate wedding for two in romantic Venice. As one of the world's most romantic cities, it attracts countless couples in love to celebrate their most important day – their wedding – and Venice is also a stunning destination for a honeymoon!
Venice is a unique, ancient city where every building is a monument of architecture. It is a city of museums and churches, and every corner is beautiful and unique. Piazza San Marco is one of Venice's main landmarks, along with St. Mark's Basilica, the magnificent Doge's Palace, the Grand Canal, Hotel Danieli (famous for featuring in the film "The Royal"), charming bridges, and the islands of Murano and Burano – and these are just a few of the "must-see" spots in luxurious Venice.
Venice is incomparable at any time of the year! You'll always find countless couples in love here – there's simply no other city like it in the world! That's why you should confidently choose Venice for your wedding and honeymoon.
A wedding in Venice can be organized as a symbolic ceremony, an official ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli, or even a sacred Orthodox wedding in one of Venice's Orthodox cathedrals.
The magnificent municipal Palazzo Cavalli is located in the picturesque San Marco district, on the Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge. This 16th-century, three-story building features a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal, offering newlyweds the opportunity for stunning photos with a view of the canal.
The wedding hall itself is designed in a classic style and accommodates up to 50 guests.
The venue is exclusively reserved for your wedding during and after the ceremony, allowing you to comfortably hold a photoshoot right after saying "I do."
To arrange an official wedding ceremony in Italy, you must provide our agency with the following documents in advance:
- Russian passports of the couple
- International passports of the couple
- Birth certificates (original or notarized copy)
- Certificate of divorce (if applicable) or death certificate of a former spouse
- Document confirming a name change (if either partner has changed their surname)
Our agency takes full responsibility for obtaining the "Nulla Osta" (marriage license) in Italy and legalizing the documents at the Prefecture, all without the couple's physical presence.
Please note: A wedding for Russian citizens in Italy is only possible with a certified translator present!
The advantage of a symbolic ceremony is the freedom to choose almost any location for your wedding.
One of our favorite romantic spots in Venice is the "Rose Garden," which overlooks the famous Grand Canal.
Other ceremony venues can include the inner courtyard of a palace, a hotel rooftop with a view of the Grand Canal, or even a ceremony on a gondola – a classic Venetian option.
Palazzos (Italian palaces) are a popular choice for weddings, with many available to suit various budgets. Venue rentals start from €700
Venice is beautiful all year round, but the main season typically runs from April to October. While summer brings crowds of tourists, we know how to find secluded spots for ceremonies, ensuring your celebration remains undisturbed. Imagine the stunning sunrise and sunset photo sessions in Venice when the streets are peacefully empty!
We hope you get the chance to visit this city of romance and love – Venice!
