A wedding in minimalist, streetwear style.

The "Creative Minimalist Wedding Project (Finalist of the Wedding Awards North-West 2023)

The entire photoshoot is permeated with interesting forms and textures, rich in streetwear style. For the decor, we used minimalism and unconventional wedding materials: stone, paper, and metal, combined with flowers and candles.

The visual concept of the project is built on two components: we took the well-known minimalist style as a foundation but infused it with our own individual meanings, which were reflected in the couple's looks, the locations, and consequently, the decor.

Two zones were created for the project: a dinner area and an off-site ceremony area, with the ceremony zone set against the backdrop of the dinner area, enhancing the visual effect and the created atmosphere.

For the concept's primary materials, we chose a combination of minimalist details such as paper, concrete, and black metal. However, the design did not appear overly simple thanks to the addition of elegant, high-end furniture and tableware elements.

To add dimension to the fairly straightforward minimalist aesthetics, we incorporated a play of light, textures, and constructivism. For lighting, we selected neon, whose soft lines softened the main structural forms of the decor, complemented by warm candles in concrete holders. The texture of crumpled paper echoed the texture of artificial stone in the form of aerated concrete blocks. The florals reflected the project's seasonality, adding vibrancy while blending in naturally with the overall design.

Furthermore, the decor subtly echoed the couple's personal style. For example, the bride's understated, soft look was accentuated by contrasting, bold accessories—gloves, glasses, an oversized jacket. Similarly, in the decor, the sharp lines of black metal added a sense of solidity while creating a striking contrast with softer materials.

Thus, the concept evolved beyond mere minimalism, gaining its own unique identity, which we dubbed
"Creative Minimalism."
How did this magical day go?
